Internet Explorer

Look for the big blue "e" and double click it. If the big blue "e" is not in your Start menu, check your Desktop for it. At the top of the window there is a "toolbar" that contains: File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, and Help.

Setting Homepage


Click on "Tools" and a small window will open displaying more options.
˘Click on "Internet Options" and the Internet options window appears. The first tab "General" will be selected by default.
˘ The first option you see is the "Home Page" option. If the window next to the "Address" line is not highlighted, highlight it by clicking on it.
˘ Type in your new home page address. Example: www.yahoo.com
˘ Click on "Apply" and "OK" to save your changes. Close and reopen Internet Explorer and your new home page will be accessed.

 
Another way to change it is to go to the page you wish to be your homepage, click on tools, internet option, on homepage, click make current.
   
Saving a picture from a website  

right click on picture you want to save, click save picture as

(you can change name, but beware about changing suffix, ex. ...gif, .jpg, .bmp each have different characteristics)

   
Copy a picture  
right click on picture you want and click copy  
(can lose animation or suffer quality lose this way)  
   
Print a selection- highlight text you wish to print, right click, click on print target  
Copy selection
highlight text, right click, click on copy, paste into word or other program
   
Favorites  

Find a website you like and want to return to, click on favorites and add to favorites

Organize favorites, allow you to create folders to keep your favorites manageable

   
Open in new window- every get stuck in a frame that takes up too much of your desktop space- break out of it by right click and click on open in new window (if the link is from our website please report it to me and I can adjust the settings to open in new frame)
