List below are some of the new features of the Exchange 2010 web interface.  The number one key features to Exchange 2010 are performance.  

 

 

The look is closer to Outlook application and many of Outlook features are available via the webpage.

 

The option bar now puts many features two clicks away- such as automatic replies,  password changes, and inbox rules

 

You can now perform searches by folder, sender/recipient, and message category

 

OWA can now display email conversations as conversation threads containing sent messages as well as received email, allowing users to keep track of responses. The entire thread can also be deleted or archived.

It is designed by default to be easier to read on Smartphone,  Ipads, and netbooks

 

 

Users also have the option to ignore the remainder of an ongoing conversation.

If you start writing a message and then leave your computer, OWA will automatically save the message as Draft and it will inform about the last time it was saved.

 

It has the ability to add inline images to the message body. In order to do that you need to click on the Picture button when creating a new message and pick a new image file from the file system..

Nickname cache - When you begin typing an email address, OWA automatically displays possible matches

you can work on the message size by clicking on the picture and resize it to the following values: Small (25%), Medium (50%), Original (100%), Large (200%) and fit to window.

 

 

 

Message tracking- If a user wants to see if a message was delivered, they can go to their Sent Items folder, right-click on the message and choose the Open Delivery Report option.

All Email users are listed alphabetically according to last name
 
   
 
Besides all e-mail accounts, there are several distributions lists
 
   
Some distributions lists available are all staff, Dever, Howell, Wheeler and Willow staff, committee members, grade level lists, art, librarians, gym, and district reading teachers.

To make an appointment click on that date and time and type in the appointment details
 
       
   
 
       
   
There is a scheduling assistant that will allow you to invite others, it will send them an email and if they accept it will put the appointment or meeting into their calendar, too

How to set up Exchange email, calendar and contact sync on the Motorola DROID


We show you how to set up Microsoft Exchange-based email, calendar and contact sync on your Motorola DROID

  • Tap on upward pointing arrow to get to the app menu (figure 1)
  • Tap on the Email icon (figure 2)

  • Enter your email address and password, then tap Next (figure 3)
  • Select Exchange account (figure 4)

  • Enter your DomainUsername, Password, Exchange Server information (exchange.valleystream13.com)and check the box next to Use secure connection (SSL), then tap Next (figure 5)
  • Configure the remaining options (sync schedule, etc) according to preference, then tap Next (figure 6)

    Assign an account name (optional) and your display name, then tap Done (figure 7)

Email will begin synchronizing once the credentials are entered correctly as required in step 5 above.

Once the setup has been completed, you are presented with a list of your messages. While viewing the message list, you are also able to change the settings that are assigned to this account by tapping on the Menu icon -- which is directly to the left of the Home icon -- and then tapping Account settings. The following options are available:

  1. Account name
  2. Your name
  3. Email check frequency
  4. Amount to synchronize
  5. Default account (simply if this will be the default email account on your DROID)
  6. Email notifications
  7. Select ringtone
  8. Vibrate
  9. Incoming settings (to modify server settings)
  10. Sync contacts

The menu icon also gives you more options which include refresh, compose, folders, accounts and account settings (above).
