Technology News

The technology department virtualized many of our servers. This procedure allows our network servers to have added redundancy, and reliability. No longer are our network programs reliant on server hardware.   We estimate the electrical savings to be in the thousands each year.

Through various grants we’ve expanded SmartBoards into all classrooms. The district also purchased student response systems called “Clickers. “  The system provides instant feedback for students and teachers and offers an alternative fun way to assess learning.

Technology has become an everyday tool in almost every curricula area at Valley Stream #13.

Thank you to all members of the community who sent in their ink cartridges from work and home.
