 Person whom you have selected: Walt Disney

 

Why I chose this person? I chose this person because he started out with nothing and he grew up he accomplish a lot of things. Also me and my family our going to Walt Disney world

 

Why they are important to you and others?: Walt Disney is important to others and me because he started animation cartoon moves, I think Disney was and smart, artistic man and my role model.

 

Childhood (birth, siblings, important events that impacted them as a child):

Walt Disney was born on December 5th 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. His Parents were Elias Disney and Flora Disney. Flora was a German-American. Elias was an Irish- Canadian. Walt had five sibling’s four brothers and one sister.    Walt was raised on a farm in Missouri. Walt became interested in drawing at an early age. He sold his first drawings to neighbors at the age of seven. Walter attended two schools McKinley high and the Academy of fine arts at night. In fall 1918 Disney attempted to enlist for the army service he was rejected because he was only 16 years old at the time. So Walt joined the Red Cross because he heard that they were accepting 17 yr olds but he lied about his age and was sent over seas.  There he spent a year driving an ambulance covered with drawings and cartoons.
