Why I chose this person?I chose this person because with out him the (US) would have lost WWII he also began the electronic age.

dd3Why they are important to me and others?Goddard is important to me because I use electronics every day. He invented a vacuum tube to amplify a signal that is still used today. Goddard also developed the basic idea of the bazooka that won us WWII.

CHILDOODRobert Hutchings Goddard was born in 1882. His parents were Nahum Danford Goddard and Fanny Louise. dd4He had one younger brother who died. An important event that +impacted him as a child was when his father showed him how to generate static electricity on the family’s carpet. Goddard was 17 when he made his first invention.

AdulthoodGoddard’s dad influenced him by showing him basic science. He gave up on the idea to make a balloon from aluminum. His greatest achievement was inventing the rocket and the idea of lunching a rocket to the moon. He was not marred plus did not have children.

Goddard impacted the lives around him by showing people that people can we can go into space. We use satellites that help us communicate and tell us about weather.
